I spent most of my youth in a small private school that focused on reading, writing, and mathematics. I went to that school through 7th grade. I entered the public school system when I was in 8th grade. I started my public school career with a higher knowledge of most subjects than my peers. Which was the complete opposite of my original expectations. I actually turned out to be two years ahead of most students in mathematics!I spent my 8th grade year going to the local highschool for math before starting there as a freshman the next year.
I have played many sports in my lifetime. I started playing baseball when I was around 6 years old and continued playing it until I was 13. I am also a runner and have some experience in many different sports. These include soccer, tennis, swimming, and basketball. Recently I have picked up racquetball and I really enjoy it. My doubles partner and I got 4th in our division at the Oregon State Tournament and won in an open tournament later. In that same tournament I got third place. I can see myself playing racquetball for a long time to come.
I plan to go into the medical field later in life. This was inspired by my parents.
