WESD Resource Center for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Students
Sprague High School serves as the center site for Willamette ESD's high school program for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students in the Salem area.
We serve as a resource center for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students, their families and school staff.
Services to students include audiological evaluation and services, curriculum support and adaptation, vocabulary development, reading and writing skills, sign language support, and transition services. Consultation is provided to families, classroom teachers and other staff.
Services are provided by licensed audiologists and licensed teachers of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing.
Services range from direct instruction to consultation for instructional staff. Specific services for each student are determined individually through the IEP (Individual Education Program) process.
