Barry Jahn has been an educator and computer consultant in Oregon's Willamette Valley since 1978. During his 30+ years of teaching in the public school system and local community college, he helped create the modern software applications curriculum, implement the districts first in-school LAN (local area network), and developed and managed development of nearly 30 online courses for several of the states larger online schools. As a result of his innovative use of technology in education, he was awarded the US West Teacher of the Year award in 1998 for the state of Oregon, 2003 NCCE Technology Educator of the Year, and 2006 Casio Educator of the Year.

In addition to teaching in the public sector, Barry has conducted numerous computer related classes and workshops in the community, founded Computer Summer Camps for Kids in the early 1980's, and developed specialized training sessions for a wide range of local businesses and individuals. He has taught adult education classes through Chemeketa CC for 15 years and instructed at the TED Center (Training and Economic Development). Other services include developing technology solutions for businesses and ensuring effective application of the solutions through integrating company-wide training.
