Marion County Art Contest

Recycling Art Calendar Contest

The Marion County Recycling Art Calendar Contest judging panel has chosen artwork for their 2020 Calendar and Sprague has three winners, including the grand prize winner. This is the fifth year in a row that we have won the top prize in this competition. Art teacher Connie Toland and the three students will attend the award presentation at a televised board session of the Marion County Commissioners on December 4th.

This year’s theme was a challenge to think critically about waste reduction, reuse, and why it is important to recycle. From an environmental perspective reducing the amount of things that we consume in the first place is the best way to help the earth, but there are other ways to be environmentally conscious that can have a large lasting impact on our community.

Winners are :

  • Makayla Meleason - Sophomore
  • Chloe Elmore - Senior

Grand Prize Winner is :

  • Kate Swenson - Sophomore

Congratulations to Chloe, Kate, and Makayla!
