Lend Me a Tenor by Ken Ludwig, the winter comedy, is just around the corner. Tickets will go on sale on February 13th for the shows beginning February 21st. The show runs on February 21, 22, and 23, 28th and March 1st and 2nd. This slapstick rom-com is a great compliment to make you smile during the dark days of winter. The show is set in 1934, Cleveland, Ohio.
On this particular evening the world famous tenor, Tito Merelli is scheduled to make his American debut on the Cleveland Grand Opera stage. Though a great extravagance the company has made great effort to bring this extraordinary talent to Cleveland. However, when he arrives with his fiery wife, the company’s all-purpose dogsbody, Max, set to keep him happy, has more on his hands than he or his boss bargained for… mayhem ensues, and the swooning pack of women and a bellhop devoted to the star create a more confusion and chaos for both the tenor and for Max who is desperately trying to make everyone happy and failing miserably. The show begins at 7pm and doors open and ticket sales begin at 6:30. Show is rated PG.
