Sprague Students Win Cherriots Awards

Happy news to share! The annual Cherriots Art Competition has been decided. This year the theme was “The Places You Will Go,” reminiscent of the Dr. Seuss book. Once again, Sprague had an awesome showing. Our winners were:

  • Meg Hirschfelder, junior, second place
  • Cody Price, freshman, third place
  • Kendall Wilt, junior, honorable mention
  • Stan Cernev, freshman, honorable mention
  • Hunter Hofmann, freshman, honorable mention
  • Daniel Barrick, sophomore, honorable mention

  • Cherriots judges were very impressed that Sprague managed to place so many winners. We are excited about the future with three 9th graders chosen! Students won gift certificates and places in the annual Cherriots calendar and some nifty light up yo-yos. The Art department was presented with a check for $600 for department needs and art supplies. Take a close look at Hunter Hofmann’s piece. One of the judges liked it so much, he asked for a print of it to display.
