Oly Pageant Was A Huge Success!

The 20th Annual Mr. and Miss Olympian Pageant was a huge success on April 16 at the historic Elsinore Theatre. The group of fourteen students raised more than $38,000 for Doernbecher Children's Hospital. The night started off with a fast paced dance choreographed by senior Brittany Hudson and set the tempo for the evening. The evening was led by the student coordinators Shanti Basu and Aaron King, who did an excellent job hosting the sportswear, formal wear, and talent portions of the evening. The participants showed off a wide range of talents, ranging from dances, speed painting, downhill skateboarding, musical skits, and instrumentals. This year Mitch Ekdahl and Morgan Coursey were crowned the winners.

Huge thank you for everyone that contributed to the fundraising efforts, Ms. Lee for her support and the theatre tech crew, Mr. Rodin and the video production crew, Jensen Clark for helping to organize the judges, Maeve Robinson for the winners baskets, Dylan Norris for his amazing counting ability as this year's treasurer, and Nolan Harris for his support through leadership. Conan Myers did an amazing job with all of the videos and audio editing, the evening would not have been possible without him. Mr. Formal generously donated tuxedos for the contestants to wear. Lastly, Braden Gardner, Gillian Griffin, Dani Bezley, and Brittany Hudson for their continued support the day of Oly Pageant.
