Athlete of the Year


The Salem Breakfast Club selected quarterback Jon Schaub as their Athlete of the Year. Attending the event were Coach Minyard, Coach Cash, and AD Craig Swanson.

Jon had a great year leading the Sprague Olympians to a very successful year in football. He threw for 121 completions in 219 attempts for 1941 yards. He had 27 TD's and only 4 interceptions. He also had 28 carries for 75 yards and 1 TD.

On top of the great stats - he was honored by being voted 1st Team all CVC Quarterback and CVC Offensive player of the year. He was a team captain. Just this week - he was selected to the Statesman Journal All Mid Valley Football Team.

According to Coach Ryan Cash, ""Jon is a tremendous student athlete. He epitomizes the role of a leader. He cares for others and is a tireless worker. Jon's success is a direct correlation to his will and desire to be great."
