From our AD Clinton Gertenrich…

Sprague Student-Athletes and Families,

I want to welcome everyone to a new school year at Sprague High School. We are excited to get the year going as we have launched into athletics. We have closed registration for soccer and volleyball, and teams have been formed. Students wanting to run cross country or play football, there’s still a little time…but hurry (Register now!!!). We will have three football teams this year! Students need to have an updated sports physical which can be found on our school website under Athletics.

Parents & spectators, with the update statewide face covering mandate, please remember to bring a face covering to all indoor and outdoor sporting events if you plan on attending. These will be required for all students, spectators, game officials, and school staff. Due to construction, volleyball parents and spectators, please park in the North end parking lot and walk around to the back side of Sprague and enter from the East side of the gym. The normal entrance and gym lobby has been demolished through bond construction. We will have a new gym lobby in the Spring! The only way to get into the gym is through the back doors of the gym. There will be signs outside the doors. Stadium parking will be in the South parking lot by the stadium, and the North parking lot. Thank you for your patience while we work through construction.

We will be charging for admittance into athletic events. Please be prepared to have cash on hand to pay to get into games/competitions. We are charging $7 for adults, $5 for students without ASB cards, $5 for middle school students accompanied by parents, $5 for non-participating school students with ASB card, no charge for participating school students with ASB card, and no charge for Sprague students with ASB card. A full list of all game entrance fees. We will also sell season passes to our events as well and can be purchased at the gate from a ticket taker. It’s a great way to enter quickly into games!

I want to thank our parents, coaches, school staff and especially our students for their amazing work through this past year as we faced many challenges. My hat is off to you all! Let’s keep up a positive spirit when supporting our sports teams this year! Please thank our coaches for all they have done to support our student athletes to get to this point!

Go Olys!!

Sprague competes in the 6A classification Mountain Valley Conference and has a long history of winning district, regional and state level competitions.
